The price

Prices are in US dollars as shown on the Steam store on 10 September 2026. Steam sets regional prices, so yours may differ.

Is there a gacha?

No. The Japanese community wiki records that director Guy said there is no gacha, on the Arcaea Discord on 24 September 2025 and again on the In Falsus Discord on 11 February 2026. Cards are made through Card Integration with materials you win in the game, not bought.

Why the price surprised some players

lowiro did not reveal the price until launch, and a Steam forum thread complained about that; the poster expected $40 to $50. Arcaea, lowiro’s first game, is free to play on mobile with paid song packs, so In Falsus being a single paid purchase is a change of model. Another thread asked whether it would be as grindy as Arcaea; with no stamina or gacha, the grind is limited to unlocking songs through the Scenario and crafting better cards.

Is it worth it?

It is Very Positive on Steam, with 226 of 256 reviews positive a day after launch. The reviews page collects what players praise and complain about. If you are unsure about the controls, check the controls guide first: the six-key, one-hand layout is the most common reason people bounce off.
